She lived in a house just off campus with Devyn and several other students that was run by a gruff older man referred to as simply “The Commodore.” He was retired from the navy they assumed, but nobody was particularly sure, and when questioned, he tended to reply with odd non sequiturs along the lines of, “How many cups of sugar does it take to get to the moon?” When the questioner was confused and working out the answer, he'd usually slip away leaving them more confused about what they were doing there to begin with.
